    What can cause a Mikuni Carb to lose its prime after sitting 2 hours?

    If I restart in 10 minutes, it will fire right up. If I wait a few hours, it's like I ran it out of gas. I have to crank for 3 or 4 15 second intervals before I get a sputter then it's back to normal. EDIT: I see someone before me replaced fuel lines. I don't believe there are any check...

    Can a mikuni carb be tuned (high speed) like a chainsaw (richer until 4 stroking then backed off slightly)?

    On a chainsaw, the high speed adjustment is easy, just richen to the point sputtering under load then lean it back a bit to where the engine smooths out. Does this type of high speed tuning work on a PWC? I have read the Mikuni carb manual and understand it ok enough, but as a new pwc owner...
