Challenger x20 2003 jet pump question

This is probably a dumb question considering my boat has an alternator, but is there a stator on 2002 plus - jet drives? Whatever the case, there is a cone shaped serrated piece inside the jet nozzle. Is this piece supposed to spin or stay still on this model? Normally I would think these spin...

2003 Seadoo challenger 240 EFI won’t reach full acceleration, hoppin’ and skippin’

Went for a ride with a buddy and after 3-4K RPMs sounds like engine is skippin a bit. It won’t reach full acceleration. Put the “inline ignition lights” on and found 3 intermittent coils. They didn’t appear to have steady BPMs or pulse tempo at the higher RPM range. First thought is to replace...

    Replacement gauges Challenger 2000/x20

Have a 2003 challenger x20, basically same boat as the challenger 2000. All gauges are officially dead. I replaced the RPM gauge with one from an 1800 it appears. Looks almost the same as the Rpm gauge for the 2000/X20, but the back screws on rather than those dumb long skinny bolts. The...

Small amount of fuel in the Intake manifold

I have a small amount of fuel in the Intake manifold. Could this be a leaky injector or leaky fuel rail? Or is this normal? I’m the guy on the forum who’s had the high idling surging issue. I’ve traced the problem to here. Could this be causing the over revving problem?

Seadoo challenger Gauge wiring and aftermarket

I am looking at replacing these tired gauges with something more modern and cooler as well. Can someone please help me understand the speedo and RPM gauge wiring? What the colors mean and what each wire is doing. I’d like to replace with these cool glow shift gauges. Here is a picture of my...

Engine runs high idle/medium revs without lever action 2003 challenger X

Last year we were out on the water only a handful of times. The last day I noticed a little surging in the idle speed. When in neutral with the throttle lever at its lowest setting the idle speed is supposed to be smooth and at a low pleasant rev. Instead it would surge here and there like it...

Sea Doo x20 challenger idling high in neutral

Hi, I went out this weekend on my boat and it was idling fine until the second day. When my throttle lever is completely back normally it’s a nice low rpm idle. However, now it’s idling high as if more gas is being applied than normal. And there is a hair more propulsion. Is my cable too tight...

Sea Doo 2003-2005 X20 - Dash Switches, trouble shooting, and parts acquisition

Well here I am again, fixing something else. Dash switches are not working... horn switch, blower switch, nav lights switch, courtesy lights switch, bilge switch. If I can remember correctly they individually started going at different times. I’m going to run an ohmmeter, continuity check and...
