Actually I didn't remove the drain plugs and the engine compartment filled up with rainwater...up the the level of the rear vent under the rear of the seat. I have a 1996 gtx with a new sbt engine...still using break in oil on second tank of gas. It has been running great, but last weekend out of nowhere it started beeping. I immediately stopped and motor was cool to the touch...and I couldnt find any problems...It kept beeping even with the lanyard...

Are the grommets for oil reservoir pretty easy to get to? and pretty easy to replace?

Yes it does...that's what I don't understand...the wear ring and impeller clearance seems to be ok...and it seems to smoothly and quickly accelerate to 42mph...when the motor got replaced at the end of summer I only got to ride it once for about an hour...but hope to be back on the water in a...

Last year I bought a 1996 sea doo gtx (787 engine new from SBT just installed) and a 1999 sea doo GTS that works great. I also have a 1997 Yamaha wave raider that works great. Any ideas on the oil leak? Also the top speed on the GTX is 44 mph...the GTS with the smaller motor is faster...it runs...
