    1992 XP What happened?

Might be worth it to check some basics like compression and putting in-line spark monitor on each plug to see if consistent spark.

    94 seadoo spx won’t start

you could also temporarily bypass the fuel selector switch and strainer to test if either is blocked.

    94 seadoo spx won’t start

check compression. check for good spark. If gray fuel lines since 94 carb(/s) must be pretty gummed up. Rebuild and follow rebuild thread at beginning of forum if compresion is good. Replace/clean fuel strainer and fuel valve. Replace fuel lines with black automotive line, vent lines are optional.

    Trouble removing jet pump

Seadoo wear rings are a 2 piece design. There is a softer black outer layer that will give way to rocks and things so that the impeller will not get damaged. I don't remember the color of the hard second layer, but if your jet pump is black plastic and the piece that's in there is white then...

    Trouble removing jet pump

Maybe the drive shaft has some corrosion on the end that is causing it to be stuck in the impeller. There is a rubber boot on the end of the impeller that helps hold some marine grease that should be in there. Maybe you can remove that seal and shoot some lubricant/penetrating oil in there to...

1996 Challenger - Takes Forever to Plane

Sounds like cavitation. If wear ring, impeller and clearance between them all check ok then maybe air leak from jetpump to hull (neoprene seal). Check carbon ring and hat for wear, pitting and the rubber boot that holds the ring for wear and looseness (not exertering enough force pressing the...

    Jet pump oil issue

The most common places for leaks are the nose cone sealing and the jet pump seal on the drive shaft side of the pump. The nose cone should be sealed with an o-ring that is in good shape and loctite 518. You will need to remove the impeller to replace the seal on the driveshaft side on the pump...

    First post, No Spark, sometimes?

Download the shop manual foryour ski at seadoomanuals.net. There are probably several tests the ignition system you could run. There may be an AC voltage test for the trigger coil that maybe better than the test light. Also resistance tests for the coil (even though its new) and the plug wires...

    1997 GTX wear ring replacement

It looks you are missing the outer edge on part of the wear ring. That may cause some issues if the impeller overlaps it and more pieces might break off So I would replace it. I think the maximum clearance between the impeller and wear ring is 1mm max. If you are near. that clearance it is also...

1998 GTX limited edition no spark PLEASE HELP

Did you look up the trigger coil test in the shop manual and try it? What was the result? If you get the output specified and that trigger signal is on the input to the MPEM but there is no output from the MPEM to the base of the coil then it's likely the problem is the MPEM. Maybe places like...

    1997 GTX not starting

Sounds like you starter needs to be rebuilt or changed. You can take the plugs out, ground the plug wires to the grounding post and see if the starter can turn the engine without compression. When you said you cleaned the starter, did you open it up and clean the brushes and comutator? Starters...

    1997 GTX not starting

If you suspect the connections to the starter you could carefully use a set of jumper cables from your battery to the positive starter post and case of the starter directly. Connect the grounds first, then the positive post on the starter and last test by connecting to the positive of the...

    RFI Fuel Tank Electrical Connector

It looks like such a simple plug. There must be 4 straight leads going through to the 4 on the other side. If you check it out with an ohmmeter can you tell which leads are shorted? Maybe you can cut the plug open aa a seam and remove anything that shorting a couple of the leads.

    RFI Fuel Tank Electrical Connector

I do not know of sources for the connector but in your pictures it looks like there is the conductive grease on the pins to protect them. Make sure the grease is not causing the short.

If you remove the spark plugs can you rotate the engine easily by hand using the PTO flywheel counterclockwise? If not then take the jetpump off and see if engine or jetpump is seized.

another starter relay thread, maybe mine is different?

You should rule out the simpler stuff like Grim said before removing and rebuilding the starter. First you should either have your new battery either load tested or put a volt meter across it when you try to start and observe that the voltage does not drop below 12V. Jumping across the top 2...

1998 GTX limited edition no spark PLEASE HELP

It is but it also requires the proper trigger signal on the MPEM input. I think your shop manual specifies a dynamic test for the trigger signal from the trigger coil.

1998 GTX limited edition no spark PLEASE HELP

Sounds like stator and pickup coil are new but if the pickup is not supplying the proper trigger signal that would also cause a no spark condition.
