So am I better off buying the top end swap out from SBT? I'm not sure what you mean by hone? Does a new piston have to be matched to the cylinders? That is what I'm understanding.

Also, I was looking for a good source for a new top end rebuild kit. Do I need to replace the piston cases if they are smooth? Will a new piston simply drop into my old case without any additional shop work? I'm also looking for a good carb rebuild kit. Any suggestions?

Ok we pulled head off and the cylinder sleeve and I'm pretty sure we have found the problem. See Pic. Do you need a piston puller part 290877092 to remove the piston pin or is there another way to pull the pin with common tools?

Not good folks. Mag side 146. PTO side about 40. I ran it three times on each cylinder to make sure I was not screwing something up. Looks like a wreck I suppose. Beyond my ability to fix is what I assume.

Also, can I access the filter in the carbs without removing the carbs? See the state of my fuel lines leads me to believe my carbs are probably in pretty good shape.

Is this fuel filter appropriate? Also, don't you need two? Two lines run to the carbs.

Do I just install the fuel filter inline close to the carb?
