Well it turns out mine bent a con rod!! theory believes that it had to much fuel in cylinder and reacted like hydrolock. not happy as i think carbs must of been leaking. its a huge guessing game. thanks for all the advice Jros i think you may have to let it soak with wd-40 and tap the pistons...

hi seadoosnipe. i thought is was a connecting rod too maybe a bent one. i have pulled the head cover to find the cylinder walls and tops of pistons in great condition. then i did move the pto and got a little movement as before and could see both pistons moving. so i didnt think more of it. may...

Thanks Mudpie, ill definately have a look if thats causing me the problem ive tryed rocking the engine backwards it doesnt make a clank noise when its rocked backwards its more of a jam but still make a clank forwards. ill take cover off and take a look. and let you know.

thanks for the quick reply. Well i did pull the cone cover and the bearing seamed fine. i gave up from there as i could hear something definately in engine.
