    2000 GTX 951 Electrical issues

if you hit the start/stop button, with the key OFF the ski, it should beep at you. that will test your 12v and the beeper if both work. The gauges should turn on too for 30 seconds. if you get gauges, but no beep, I suspect beeper. if you get nothing, i suspect a power problem. just to check...

    1999 GTX Limited, exhaust removal?

on the 02 XP you can remove/reinstall the pipe without splitting it... on the GTX... I don't think you can.

    Exhaust Hose Melted (Material ?)

There was some plastic part of the 99 GSX Ltd exhaust I had that was melted I think the resonator. I ended up building a PVC connection between the parts that lasted for more than the 4 years I had it... I had to make my own as there was no part available for this, but yes, use real exhaust hose...

    1999 GTX Limited, exhaust removal?

Correct, you need not remove the pipe to change the fuel lines... I wasn't thinking of the to do, just the question. you can remove the carbs to make it easier. you'd have to remove them anyway to get the lines between the carbs.

you have to remove the 2-3 bolts, but there's also a nut under it that you have to remove the carbs for first.

98 GTX weird left turn bog

I recall something like this from one of my skis long long ago. I'm assuming these are 951 skis? It was a precursor to complete engine failure. Turns out the exhaust water cooling was leaking and getting sucked into the intake. Common failure point on the 951. exhaust is directly above the...

1998 GTX Limited - MPEM and Stator Issue

Has it ever been apart before? the 98 magneto and 99+ are materially different. mixing them won't end well. Sometimes people before you aren't the best at repairs. and yes - the MPEM needs programmed via DESS to your key(s), although I read some MPEMs can be shipped to work with any key...

    1998 GTX limited Carb adjustments.

the 98 was the first (full) year of the 951. it had some unusual things, but yes, I'd set it to the 1.5 out. I've built many 951s and this worked 95% of the time for me. you can also just adjust this on the ski with a long screwdriver if needed.

    1998 GTX limited Carb adjustments.

i used to know these by heart. High is closed. I'm 80% sure low is 1.5 turns out. Look for the 99 GTX. the 98 was an odd year. i just checked your link. I am correct. it's 1.5 out on low and 0 on high.

    Flush mistake

well, since it starts... go for a run. This will not only dry out any potential parts, but if you still get the acceleration and top speed it had before - you're fine. also, DO NOT use a jump pack. you could fry the MPEM and be out a good chunk of change... $200-$600. Use only the correct new...
