    When is the last time your serviced your rave valves, clean them out if needed. Inspect o-rings and replace as necessary. 1/4 to 1/2 is a little low for them to kick out but according to where your red caps are , this could be the issue.

    To get a more accurate reading I would do a chop. Weird thing is normally our skis run a little lean at idle. I would be curious to know what your high and low settings are at on the carb. What is your idle RPMs? I didn't see above .... what ski do you have?

    I use to dab a little hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid... on the shock cylinder, run it up and down and coat the seals, sometimes it would reenergize the seals for a little while longer. My front hood shock is about 50 to 80 bucks, so not too bad but not cheap!

    IMO, while getting it set around 3000 out of water is good (more of a place holder), the real number you want is in the water. Make sure you are at about 1400 to 1500 in the water, I have had to adjust mine almost every time. I would suggest running it for a few minutes after each adjustment...

    IMO, if it is running great then I would not take the carb apart, yes it could mess up the gaskets. Just make sure you check the spark plugs to verify it is not lean...plug chop maybe. Also do all the normal maintenance on it, filter changes etc.. so you know what you have.

    You can rebuild the engine yourself just not the crankshaft, replace it. and go from there.

    I would suggest getting your parts manual and following the hoses to verify everything is connected as it should. They have good diagrams in there, and the manual is free online if you don't have it.

    Two things I would look at, the start switch and the carb settings. The beeping, well I get it to work randomly on my ski but she always cranks over. I am assuming the key is still on and the start button is not being pressed when it just starts randomly, that could be the start switch contacts...

    Have you inspected the oil hoses going from the oil pump to the carbs? Might be old and cracked or not fitting well at the pump.

    Download, for free, the parts manual, mine showed where the hoses go , so it will help put it back together. The service manual may have the same info. both are free to download.

    have you looked at your RAVE valves and verify they are clean and operating? Sounds like they could be stuck open to some degree. Are your low and high adjusters back to original specs?

    My philosophy is to replace anything that is worn or damaged, it wont last long and you will be back at it, replacing it sooner rather than later. Just my 2 cents.

    I didn't see where you stated what carb rebuild kit you used and whether you did a pressure test. Normally you don't need to adjust the low or high. There is a thread on her about how and why for the adjuster, I would recommend reading that first before fiddling. They are not easy to get right.
