2006 sea doo speedster 430 need help

These motors aren't cheap. How much are you willing to spend to get this boat up and running? Can you get away with short blocks? If you can't find someone to do the work, how do you anticipate getting things fixed?

2006 sea doo speedster 430 need help

Post some pics of the disconnected hoses. Do you have a fresh battery to put in it? What about the gas? 3 years old gas should smell pretty bad when you open the fuel filler. Have you done anything to it since taking it home?

    oil pump

I believe this is normal wear according to other posts I've read. Maybe a little info on why you inspected it in the first place? How does the rotor look?

Challenger 180 for trips to Isla Mujeres?

A 210 would be better due to the extra free-board at the bow, but you may be OK so long as things don't get too rough out there. The 180s have a lung slung bow, so you may take some waves over it if the seas get rough. If you do decide to go with a 180, make sure your bilge pump works...

    Just bought a project boat! 2006 Sportster 4tec 155

Looks awesome. Is it just me or is that a "fracture split" connecting rod? Pic didn't blow up enough for me to confirm.

Sportster Trailering issues (Old boater, new to Sportster)

I mentioned this earlier as I do something similar. Most of the time it's just an adjustment with how far you dunk the trailer. His best bet would be to try adjusting how far he dunks the trailer to find the sweet spot. It's free as well. Maybe someone with a Sportster/Speedster can chime in...

    Performance boats using old technology

These 4tec motors are very picky about plugs. I'd bet a fresh set of OEM plugs would have yielded similar results. Plugs should be changed annually. They're cheap and easy to replace. We've had our 2012 210SE with the twin supercharged motors for 5 years now and never had an issue with the...

Help. Oil Change has left me puzzled.

From the manual..... Also, are you pumping oil out of the PTO? That could account for some of the missing oil.

Need recommendations for bottom paint for Sea Doo Sportster

I'm not sure painting over the blisters is a good idea as you're only masking the problem and sealing in any trapped liquid. I would think a better solution would be to open them up, dry them out, and seal them up with some gelcoat and then bottom paint. Definitely not an easy job, but it...

    Another Coolant Winterizing Question?

I agree with MacSeadoo, antifreeze is cheap insurance to protect your motor from freeze damage.
