    Yes, they are interchangeable. There are several places that can refurbish your cluster cheaper than buying a used one. If you buy a used cluster, it will need to be flashed and married to your ECU with BUDS software.

    Change plugs and I'll bet it runs fine again. I got a 4tec that didn't run for 10 years and it fired right up with new fuel and ran all day perfectly.

    You have to do it while it's in limp mode. If it's not, it won't give you any codes.

    Press set 5 times while it's in limp mode to get the codes. Did he give you both the old sensor? Did he use the correct version for them? If he checked the oil pressure, what was it?

    If it's in limp mode, there will be codes. You have to scroll through the menus while it's in limp mode and there will a new menu called fault codes. Yes, you can remove the spark plugs and crank it over.

    What year and model? Did you try changing spark plugs? Why do you think you have an intercooler leak? What codes do you have? What do the spark plugs look like? Does it turn over without the plugs in? We really need more info to be able to give any real help.

    Not sure you would get the value out of owning the software and it takes a little practice to use it. Where are you located? There are plenty of people around the country who can do this, not just dealers.

    Yes, dealer or someone like me with the software who can do it. ECU will need to be married to the cluster as well.

    That's some pretty relevant information you left out. Typically, when a cylinder fills with gas it is either an injector problem or even more likely an ECU problem. Pull the fuel rail with a towel underneath and then put the key on. I'm guessing you will see that injector flowing gas out...

    Check coils and fuel spray pattern as well. Sounds like you are running on 2 cylinders.

    You don't need to heat it. Just a longer breaker bar/pipe to break it loose with the engine strapped down. I have a 6' one that works well. It's not a left handed thread.

    03 gtx 185

    The 2003 gtx 185 with the plastic pump is a flawed design and will eat wear rings in no time. They changed to the aluminum pump in 2004 which solved the problem. Buy an aluminum pump and a new wear ring and it will solve your problem.
