I have a 2003 Seadoo gti le rfi put a new motor 787 it won’t go pass 6200 rpm .
Its going 38 mph this ski should run about 50 mph has anyone had this problem .
Motor runs good acceleration is good very responsive but can’t get it pass 6200 rpms.
Would appreciate any help thanks in advance

When you’re riding open/leave the seat and look at it. If you see water coming from it it’s bad.

Check it working cut windows in caps and watch them work if you think of something else I would appreciate that thanks for the suggestion 👍

Check the rubber exhaust hose past the water box, they sometimes collapse internally, so I’ve heard anyways

Maybe check the fuel pressure while riding before the injectors? But if fuel pressure is good, definitely a good idea to have the injectors flow tested and cleaned

Yes ran it against bumper at 4500 for 3 min never got above 12.99
Not sure if it matters but I was told by @mikidymac that it should be at 13.5 volts at idle and near 14 volts at 4500rpm. That was for my 99 GSX RFI, not sure if being a little low would be causing your issues but thought I would mention it in case it was

Yeah, I think 12.99 is too low , that might be why you cant get over 6200 rpm. I'm not sure if your rectifier is integrated or not, hopefully not. Look in your manual it will say. If you can replace it , I would, they are cheap!
