Looking for parts: Sea-doo GTI 155 Thermostat coupler and O-ring

I appreciate the response. I already bought the whole assembly (new). About $450 CDN. It is what it is (peace of mind insurance I guess). I really got nowhere looking for answers so just went with the advice I got from where I bought the machine in the first place.

Looking for parts: Sea-doo GTI 155 Thermostat coupler and O-ring

Hi, looking for a little help here. I have the above noted machine. Last summer the coolant all spilled out of it through the coupler joint at the thermostat (pretty sure a dealer caused this but meh). I think I ruined the O-ring putting it back in wrong when trying to fix it so I want a new...

Need help with 4-tech 155 cooling system hose connection

Saw a video just now of some guy snapping this in. Looked like it needs some force but not crazy. It plain out isn't happening like that for me. I get one side in and push with every fibre of my being to get the other side in same there's just no way. How crazy would it be to add some heat...

Need help with 4-tech 155 cooling system hose connection

Thank you for responding. The thing is, I can't get it to snap back in place. I'm sure I have the little clips lined up right and I can't get it to snap in completely (I can get it mostly snapped in but there's always about 20% not in place). Are you saying it should just easily snap in by...

Need help with 4-tech 155 cooling system hose connection

Spent hours on this and I need help. See attached picture. No matter what I try, I can't get this hose connector to snap in place. It came loose somehow (I suspect the dealer I brought it to pulled it off to check some smoking I had coming out of the back and they didn't connect it properly)...

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

I'm following up as mentioned. Right now I think the thing is running OK. Definitely not 100% but very close. I can consistently reach 57mph and 7500rpm which is just slightly less than I got when it was new. I even hit 58mps briefly with a slight tail wind (58mph was the max speed I could...

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

No, I was probably a little inclined yesterday on the trailer and today it was in the water when I checked. I had no idea if needs to be level. I'll make sure next time and thanks. Seems impossible it would make that much of a difference though. I got the tester at Napa for like 40 bucks...

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

Seems OK right now. Pumped out the oily water in the hull, changed the gas with new. Checked the cylinders again, still 110-115. Might be a shitty gauge, at least they're all about the same. Still can't read the oil level. Doesn't matter how long I let it sit out how hot or cold, oil runs up...

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

Tested the cylinders. All between 100-110 psi. Bypassed the IBR to have a look, all clear. Intake flawless. Same result today after putting fresh oil back in. It wants to spin up but starts vibrating and seems like it's in a limp mode but for all I know, it's something physical. No codes...

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty freaked. I drained the oil and I don't think there was even a litre of oil in there (snaked my pump around 20 ways, pretty sure on this). No idea why there wasn't more oil sprayed around. Put new oil in and same bogging. Gonna pull it out and see if there's...

Should have been clear - it was the filler cap.

2017 GTI SE 155 Ran Without Oil Cap.

Hi: Pulled my Sea-doo out for the season today and took it out to stretch its legs. 5 minutes in it started to bog out. Took it directly back in and pulled the seat and saw the oil cap was off. I must have forgotten to replace it last fall when I serviced it. Engine was pretty hot and it...

Can a 95 XP be left winterized for 2 winters?

Hi all: After an extremely busy year, my 95 XP never made it out of storage this year so I decided to sell it to a friend. Too late for them to take it out this year so I was wondering, is it better for them to leave it winterized from last fall or should they start it up and blow out all the...

    Worst year ever?

Yes for sure. North Hero House (on the Vermont side) has a few rooms right on the water with dock parking right in front of your veranda. It's pretty nice. We did it last year and I think we'll be splitting up our annual trip out east to see my parents by visiting here for a night or two from...

    Worst year ever?

Weird that you said a couple of things: - I remember 1992 well. It was the year of no Summer and I literally was going to say "the worst year since 1992" instead of "the worst year ever" but I assumed no one would know what I meant. - great to hear Lake Champlain is faring better since we...

    Worst year ever?

Not sure what it's like elsewhere but in Southern Ontario this has been the worst Spring I can remember. It should be mid 20s by now (about 80 for the uninitiated) and it's barely reached 20 a couple of times so far and the long term forecasts don't look any different. Also rainy and windy...

Break in procedure for new GTI SE 155

I broke in my GTI 155 SE last year and there was no computer control or governor. I spent 10 excruciating hours going from low, to half, to 80% speed, varying revs, etc., as recommended here. It sucks but I'd rather have peace of mind than wonder for the next 10 years if I damaged it. Aside...
