    Yes. The engines will swap. Make sure to use the exhaust pipe, and water box. Swap the impeller or the entire pump housing to get the performance.

    Crankcase line is the pulse for the carb fuel pump so yes that will cause it not to start because it wasn’t pumping enough fuel through the carbs.

    Also, make sure the fuel Selector valve is cleaned out. It’s also caused a restriction for fuel flow due to the gunk that builds up inside the fittings. I’ve seen several causing lean conditions and starving fuel.

    Broken Pump Housing Stud- Solution????

    What is the best solution for repairing a broken stud that holds the pump housing to the transum. When I was removing the housing, the stud simply brake in half as I thought that I was loosening the nut. I've never had this happen.

    Exhaust Water Leak (from the welded plugs) Make sure its not coming from the Exhaust Pipe. The plugs tend to corrode and create a pinhole which then evetually becomes a bigger hole allowing the water in the boat. hook up the water hose and you will see if that is the case.
