A 96 gti 717 I bought has nearly seized shafts on the carbs. I have sprayed and soaked them, with little luck. I have a pair of 657x carbs from a 94xp, will these work if I swap jets springs and needle seats and the way the carbs mount? Or can the shafts be pulled cleaned and reinstalled? I...

Can I put a 96 GTi 717 complete engine with magneto into a 95 GTx 657x hull, just plug it in and use all the 657x wiring and mpem? I have read somewhere they have basically the same timing curve magneto and rev limiter. I would change the impeller to the 96 one.

Don't do any work on it until you check compression, if the compression isn't good you will be kicking a dead horse. I just bought a pair in December. And put new plugs in there.

For 96 GTI....I searched Ebay seadoo tools but didn't find it. I am guessing its some kind of tube tool to get the wires out of the plugs. Does anyone have a link? And how do you do it? I bought a ski with a cool no gauges hood I want to use. Also none of my gauges or fuel float work on...

Push the start button then ground the connector lead on top of the cylinder head within 30 seconds it should alarm. Very important, your jet pump clogs with weeds and it overheats real quick.

That chart says the same wear ring fits 140 and 155 pumps? That can't be right?

I know on the carbon seal ones you move the silver collar and remove the o ring. On the earlier ones, does the driveshaft just pull out the back through the rubber tube with the cap and grease fitting, with the pump?

Looking for some rattle can green paint that is close to the factory hull color on my 94 xp. I want to make some repairs look less terrible, don't want to gel coat or anything extreme. I believe its 293 500 062 code but can't find that anywhere.

Nothing is working on the gauges. Tach doesn't move and the info center gauge on right does nothing. Any ideas? Do they share a ground somewhere? These 2 were sitting for about 10 years, I replaced the fuel lines and they are running now. Electrical is all stock and not hacked or spliced...
