    Starter - 180 SE Challenger

I’ve made the cheaper route mistake a few times. Not worth the headache.

    Starter - 180 SE Challenger

Don’t get an aftermarket one. People told me not to and I did anyway. I ended up paying someone else to do it again and had to buy an oem starter. More hassle than it’s worth

I feel for you guys, I see everyone is winterizing now. I’m in Florida. Boating pretty much all year round. Personally though sometimes (mid summer) it’s too hot to be out, especially without a bimini top and water. And it’s pretty much salt water boating which as you know takes a toll.

Replace Gauge Cluster with OEM or Garmin Echomap

Ok good to know. My display gauge is so faded I can’t read it but I assume it’s still sending the signal because the motor runs. That being said, I’ll just keep it plugged in somewhere maybe behind the dash and install the Garmin unit on the dash. That would work right? Side note: West...

Absolutely brother. I love being able to help someone else out especially if I’ve done it before. So the latest is this: They water tested it and found that only one of the fuel injectors was working. So they sent them to be cleaned. Only one still would not work after that. So they ordered a...

Replace Gauge Cluster with OEM or Garmin Echomap

My 07 Seadoo Challenger 180 gauge cluster is faded out and needs to be replaced. Recently I saw someone with a Seadoo Islandia replace their gauges with a Garmin Echomap 93sv. It also comes with a transducer and has a depth/fish finders as well as maps and built in GPS From my understanding...

Ok so I know it’s been a minute since the last update. The new mechanic has been diagnosing the boat. Here’s what I’ve been told so far: The negative terminal from the battery and ground were in the wrong place. The positive cable from the battery to the starter needed to be replaced. The...

Update: I just don’t have the time to work on the boat myself. So I’ve brought it to a certified seadoo mechanic. He’s confident he get it started and seems like a professional. Fingers crossed fellas. I’ll keep you in the loop.

Found some corrosion in the wire harness that looks like it goes to the bilge pump. Also, I’ve noticed I don’t hear the fuel pump engage when I put the key in. Should i? any idea on how to clean inside plugs?

I cleaned the terminals behind the battery switch. Tried to start and same result. However, I did notice that the positive cable from the starter is hot at the starter relay.

Ok so I took the terminals off of the starter and relay. I polished off all the grime. Still no luck when starting the engine. I tried jumping from another battery still no luck. I took out the spark plus and tried to start it. The engine started turning and didn’t sound bad at all. side note...
