So would it just basically shut off when it’s out of gas? And does the reserve tank automatically get filled when the setting is to the ON position or would I need to switch it to the reserve to fill that tank? JJ - where is that tank? Thank you both for your replies I really appreciate it.

The gas gauge on the old XP went out and I was wondering if anyone knows a way to be able to tell how much gas is left. Any other measurements tools out there? I’ve never run out of gas before and I don’t want to find out what it’s like. Thanks for your input.

Long story short I picked up a 2000 Sea-Doo XP for a great price and replaced almost everything inside, it's basically new! What can I do to get the most life out of this 951 (maintenance, things to avoid etc. ) and how should I go about breaking it in? I was told to use a tank at half throttle...

Jet Boyz in Spring Park (on Lake Minnetonka) did a great job with my sea doo, not sure if they work on boats but it's worth mentioning.

So do you just let it dangle while you ride or can you set it at a permanent position? Also I think I read somewhere that it being plastic may save the sliding block from busting up the vts motor if you hit something. Don't know if anyone can confirm?

Funny thing is is that I did have a spare and broke them back to back, on two different lakes! And the point of this thread was to find out if anyone knew anything to do in this situation (like some type of modification) other than just ordering a new one. Maybe I just ride too crazy lol.
