I gave up on lead-acid years ago and went to AGM, and haven't had an issue in 3 years. I use a Battery Tender and just leave it hooked up. Even "premium" lead-acid batteries seemed to fail over the winters...

On the alleged "75 mph" claims others have posted that you reference, do they happen to note their RPM compared to yours? Are these "75 mph" machines the same as yours in every way? Are you heavier than the riders posting these claims by chance?

Yep...one of the reasons I buy and read a lot of magazines that do the real-world testing. The marketing gurus will try to sell ice to an Eskimo and tell him how good it is for him.

Personally I would JB weld it back on, let it cure, then drill and tap a few 10-32 threaded holes in it and bolt the pieces together before I would attempt a weld...but good luck. It truly SUCKS when these things happen...an otherwise "routine" repair goes totally off the track!

They are honestly saying what the power is...like on a dyno...nothing false about that. Shady as hell from a marketing point if the engine makes significantly less power at the rev limiter rpm. HP sells vehicles, be it a boat, car, PWC, motorcycle...so yeah, that's odd.

What is the issue with XPS? The cost? If so, that is just ridiculous IMHO to worry about. If one has to worry about those sort of costs, one shouldn't own watercraft.

I assume at some point in its life it DIDN'T leak like this? So...what has changed? Run a logic path using objective evidence to eliminate the obvious, such as leaking plugs...and then ask yourself simply, "What has changed...what has taken place that could possibly be causing this?"

What engine? Genuine Mikuni kit? One or two carburetors? Fuel pump or no? What did you remove, is the easiest way to know...just replace those same pieces.
