I had the same issue, early bringing back the throttle causes that unsettling wavering. Add throttle or keep up before steering. It's just like a jetski you need power on to steer.

If you pull the side panel you can access that area. You might have to glue a backing board to mount an amp.

My own boat does this at 6200 rpm which seems to be ideal rpm for cruise. GARRR! I cleaned my ICV when I was putting in the new motor. Yeah the 200 bucks for it is not worth it.

I did a NDAA lookup on a 2003 sportster 4tec 155 to 200 HP. It was about 5K. So that means the cost of a new engine or even used is around 3K plus. So you are in a difficult situation. So if you sell as is, the best you can do is maybe 1K to 2K. Let us know the results.

Check your wear ring and use a phone GPS speedo for speed. The speedo on the boat is very unreliable unless you bought the GPS one.

It looks good to me. That is a good impeller no need to replace it. Your wear ring looks smooth. If you don't cavitate then there is no need to replace it.

That looks like fore side of the ski locker and yes the hole should be there. You want to make sure water moves from fore to aft into the bilge.

Nice find JPASS, I have a seadoo RXT that needs some TLC and this has the listed official colors. The gel coat will the best finish. Considering this is a hidden area Marine Tex would work nicely.
