Thanks for answering so quickly . Lou I know that boats will slow down, but even on slight turns you can hear the engine bog down and it loses 15-20 mph.

And has anyone installed this magnum chip? 15% more horsepower would be great, but this merc might detonate

Hey guys just curious does everyone's boats low down almost 15 mph when you turn either direction? As soon as I straighten out you can hear the engine catch back up on the rpms and it goes back to Normal. Also is there any upgrades I can do to this mercury engine to get just a little more power?

I have a challenger 2000 with the mercury 240 in it and just want a little more power. I was wondering if anyone has put a turbo or supercharger on this engine, or if it is even feasible. All your help is appreciated.

The last few times I took it out last year the battery started dieing after only a few hours. I figured the battery was just junk and replaced it and added another one. The switch kills everything. After being out today for 5 hours the batteries were both around 50%

Multimeter comes back with nothing. As far as upgrades new headunit, 4 Mtx 6.5's, 2 bazooka tube 10's in the ski locker, two optima blue top batteries, amp for woofers, 4.0 farad cap for everything, and a few LEDs.....so it looks like the stator, but isn't there something else besides the...

2001 challenger 2000

I just finished my winter upgrades and both of my batteries continuously die. How can I check to see what is wrong, and where do I get the parts from?

I have a 2001 challenger 2000. I am trying to order a Bimini top, but my boat is being painted and I won't get it back until next week. Does anyone happen to know the beam width or dimensions for ordering a Bimini top...... Thanks

If it pulls left trimmed too much on the right side....add another washer like a an washer (really thin washer) then try it again

When I bought my boat it had a blown engine.....the mercury 240. With a cam upgrade better pistons, bored cylinders, and better top end it will do 60.
