The rating wont tell you performance. Your tower speakers shouldnt over power your in boat speakers unless someone is sitting on the swim deck. Check your interior speakers though. Mine were all cracked when I took mine out.

Go for bad. Your not going to weaken the boat there any. If you secure the speaker well, it will replace most of the lost support. I agree with Foster, there is a ton of opportunity to go system crazy with that boat. BTW "Thanks for the advice. I will think about adding more speakers up front...
