2002 Challenger 2000 240EFI starts up but has hole in #6 piston. Everything else works as it should. make me an offer. Trailer included All titles in order. Can't get anyone to fix - this was an awesome boat.

Yes I agree but my dealership does not want to do the job - states the labor costs he would charge me is out of site. So this is an excellent project for someone who wants a terrific jet boat that goes 50 mph and can do the job themselves. My dealer only wants to buy an OEM power head to swap...

the hole is in the top of the piston. the cylinder bore is ok.

So here are pictures of my boat for sale. The blemish on floor has never been a problem. The stiching on rear seats has come apart. I did see refurbished powerheads on Ebay for less monies than $6.

Comes with excellent Sea Doo trailer with replaced tires and rims, boat was analized by Mercury Dealer and winterized. Located next to Albany New York. $1,500 or best offer. I have not advertised yet. Lots of pictures if interested.

Unfortunately the power head is more than $1,000. My boat would be a great project if you provide your own labor - I guess its not too hard to swap out engine, but I have no garage to pull engine. My jet boat would do 50 mph easy and it gave me and grandkids great fun for 10 years.

So finally spoke to mechanic when I picked up boat. He states there is a hole in #6. And replacement OEM engine is $8,400. and labor to install is $2,000. So the boat is toast I guess. Anyone need for other parts? The jet pump is good - everything else is good - starts right up but makes...

Wow so I saw 2 2.5 engines on ebay. How hard is it to adapt drive splines? or do you have to use 2.5 jet pump?? I have to convince mechanic to work on. He said new Head for 240 would be $9,000. Sorry part is when it began to make noise on the lake we shut it down and we had compression in each...

So mechanic sez no compression on #6 and not worth rebuild. Anyone with an engine? everything else works great.
